Various Trip from January to June

....... Warwick Castle's Garden in January 2010 .........

.........Stratford upon Avon - Shakespeare's Grave........

.... Stratford upon Avon - Shakespeare's Birth House.....

These were my first excursion in UK and my 4th day in Cambridge. I still had an incomplete information about the public transportation schedule and the street in Cambridge that day. I had to walk for 1 and half hours from my host family house to school, because I had no idea that there is no bus working on Sunday before 9.10 am and I had to be in school at 8.30 am. They almost left me behind. Thanks to Jane and Patricia, it didn't happen.

At first, We were going to visit Oxford, but the school, who organised this trip, changed it. I heard several vague excuses, it is either snow stormed in Oxford or the Oxford tour guide was in an accident and got a broken leg. I had no idea about those two places, when we headed from school, but it turned out great. I was playing snow ball fight there (my first experienced!) Thanks God The All Mighty. Lol

........Manchester - Old Trafford .........

On the following week I visited my relative in Manchester. I felt grateful because My roommate Jessica from China and my class mate Anne-sophie from France want to tag along with me... the more the merrier right?

.......London - Buckingham Palace.......

That was the second time I visited London in my whole life. I guess it was pretty much the same as 6 years ago. Fikri, Joaquin and I were there to explore university in London. However, in the end none of us chose to study in London, beside its pricey living cost, it was just too crowded.

..............Norwich Castle...............

It was an unplanned visit to Norwich. I got left behind for real this time, sadly because less than a minute late. They left me and Fikri in University of East Anglia (UEA -- near Norwich) after UEA International Open Day. I was showing Fikri Islamic society room a.k.a Masjid. He was in the toilet when the rest of Muslim students went there. Therefor we needed to take the train back to Cambridge from Norwich Station. However, I feel glad because if they hadn't left us, I might have never visited Norwich. LOL

........London - Russel Square on February 2010..........

There is a story behind this photograph. This was the third time I went to London. I was wandering London all alone, until I get lost, and found this park. I decided to sit there for a while. Whilst i was there, I saw a father and daughter scene that made me cry a tear or two. LOL yea.. so this girl went in to the pond while her father had told her not too. but she ignored her father and run toward the fountain and went in anyway. Then his father strongly told her that what she did is bad, it was cold that day (and she made her feet wet) she could've got sick. that's when she went away again from her father, and cried on that bench.
Her father just stared at her for a while, until couple minutes later, he approached her and hold her in his arms.

It was a Father and a daughter moment that made me cried. hiks

......Edinburgh View from Calton Hill on March 2010.......

...........Edinburgh - Hollyrood Abbey............

Three days trip to Edinburgh with my school mates. What an amazing escapade!!! Staying in youth hostel with other young traveller from all over the world. It doesn't matter even though I need to share bedroom and washroom with 14 other people. More over, they also have sharing kitchen, with modern kitchen set. On the first night there, the wind blew so hard it broke my digicam.

...............London-Trafalgar Square April 2010......

This was my forth time in London. I was with le' Devi and le' Adi. This time I went there to do self registration at Indonesian embassy. It is important for Indonesian citizen in UK to register them self, in case they encounter any problem including legal problem while we were there.

.............................Nottingham.................................

Meeting my college friend from Padjadjaran Uni at Nottingham "Diah" and then we were attending Kibar Spring gathering

........................Ely-Peacock Tea Room............................

.................Cambridge-St.John College..................

It was jogging time around the historic college of Cambridge University

.............Cambridge-Fitzwilliam Museum May 2010.............

...................London-Tower Bridge..................

I was taking the new Indonesian student around the city of London... but then Mapa and Joaquin want to Join us.. I was the photographer for that picture

........ London-Heathrow Tube June 2010............

A Journey home with my best friends, they just took me to Heathrow airport though not to Jakarta.
Thanks guys

The Cambridge Story

The moment i have long for my whole life... standing in a snowy road... it was so cold at that time but i was too exited to feel it since it was also my first snow shower experienced... Subhanallah.. one of my dream came true..

Cambridge welcomed me and Jane with snow, our taxi driver said that it hadn't been snow for days, but last night it snowed again. It was like they understand me... :p

This was a winter scenery picture in front of 37 Akeman Street, my home for the past 5 months. In that house I met Jessica Yan Zhang and Daniela Hurtado then become quite close to them. Mr and Ms Miah was a kind host, they are Muslim, an immigrant family from Bangladesh. Aunty Nessa (the grandma) and their kids: Anisa and Rahaj are living there as well. In conclusion, I feel so lucky to be able to live with them. The house is tidy, the food was good and tasty (even though it was different from Indonesian food, i still got to meet rice everyday) and the roommate is so nice.

The Greatest Gift

After more than 3 months suffering from broken heart symptoms, I finally realise that this changes is actually one of the greatest gift I ever got in my life. It took me this long to make me look back to my repressed conscience. I ignore them, because of those pseudo happiness that blind me. Perhaps, that was just not the way I was supposed to find a partner for life. However, since we have to try to find the meaning behind every moment of our life, I could use that phase as a training to bounce back after a huge disappointment. It was definitely not simple; a lot of interference like dreams and memories keep weakened the attempt. Then again, I might not fully recover now, but it's just a matter of time until that happen. Furthermore, I pray to the All Mighty, to help me get through all of these mess.

sincerely,

My Life after College

It's been almost a year after i graduated from college. I feel relieved though, because to finally get my degree from psychology faculty in UNPAD was a bit complicated. Anyhow, several major things have happened this past year. No, it was not involve working, but it was another kind of experiences. These experiences has thought me things where no book nor teacher would able to do it. Well, as I mentioned in my profile description, everything in my life was almost flat, nothing too big nor too interesting, even for me. It doesn't mean that i don't like my life, because i feel grateful, it's just too ordinary, everything was in order before i made a slight detour with my bachelor dissertation (that made me lost a year or two of my life, oh no!). Where was I? oH.. the experiences... if some certain people read this post they must've realised what this is about.
I'll tell you the details on the next posts.

cheers,
L
